This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit our website or contact us, for which purposes we do so, and what rights you have.

Visiting our website
When you visit our website, our web server processes the data required to deliver the pages and to operate the website securely. The access logs record the time, the page requested without query parameters, the status code, the amount of data transferred and the processing time, and your IP address only in shortened form. Browser identifiers and referring pages are not logged.
For technical errors, an entry may additionally be written to an error log, which may contain your full IP address, the requested address and the referring page. We use the logs solely to ensure the security and stability of the website and to analyse errors.
The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest.
Cookies, analytics and third-party content
Our website uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising services. Fonts, scripts and images are loaded from our own server; no data is transmitted to providers of such content when you visit the website.
Contact form and email
When you write to us via the contact form, we process your name, your email address, optionally your company, your message and the chosen topic and plan; the email to us also contains the website language and the time of receipt. We use this information to handle and answer your enquiry. The same applies if you contact us directly by email.
Your enquiry is transmitted via our email provider to our mailbox and stored there; it is not stored on the web server. To protect the form against misuse, we briefly derive a pseudonymised check value from your IP address (a hash value formed with a secret key); your IP address itself is not stored for this purpose. The check value is kept only in the web server’s memory and deleted at the latest about eleven minutes after your last request.
We normally delete contact enquiries twelve months after their handling has been completed, unless a statutory retention obligation or another legitimate reason requires longer retention, for example if a contractual relationship results from the enquiry.
Service providers
To operate the website and deliver enquiries, we use the following service providers, which process personal data on our behalf:
- Website hosting
- Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland (according to Infomaniak’s information)
- Email delivery and mailbox
- Hostpoint AG, Switzerland (according to Hostpoint’s product information)
Data security
The connection to our website is encrypted with HTTPS; unencrypted requests are redirected to an encrypted connection.
Your rights
You can ask whether and which personal data we process about you. You can request that incorrect data be corrected and that data be deleted, unless a statutory retention obligation applies, and you can object to processing. You can also request that your personal data be handed over or transferred, where the statutory requirements are met.
Please send your request to the contact for privacy matters named above. We answer requests within the statutory deadlines.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or another competent supervisory authority.
Changes to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy when the website or the processing of personal data changes. The version published on this page applies.
