01 Why the order matters

Actions build on each other. An ad works better when the landing page convinces. Reviews help more when the business profile is complete. Getting the basics right first makes every later action more effective.

Timing matters too: an action that starts in the right season can achieve more than a better one that comes too late.

02 Five questions for every action

  1. 1

    Impact

How strongly does the action advance the goal – and how certain is that estimate?

  2. 2

    Effort

How much time, coordination and money does it take?

  3. 3

    Timing

Does the action fit now – the season, the demand, ongoing promotions?

  4. 4

    Capacity

Can the business handle the additional demand? More enquiries do not help if nobody can deal with them.

  5. 5

    Risk

What happens if it does not work? Can the action easily be stopped or reversed?

03 Impact against effort

A simple matrix helps create a first order. It does not replace a careful assessment, but it shows where to start.

Impact ↑
  • First

    High impact, low effort

  • Plan

    High impact, high effort

  • On the side

    Low impact, low effort

  • Drop

    Low impact, high effort

04 Keeping the ranking alive

A prioritisation is a snapshot. New signals – rising demand, a competitor with a new offer, a fully booked team – change the order. That is why the ranking needs regular review.

  • Record for every rank why an action is placed there.
  • Review the order at a fixed rhythm, for example weekly.
  • Drop actions deliberately instead of postponing them endlessly.
